Thanks to our member Adrian Bowen for the Kiwanis Float photos while attending the 2005 Rose Bowl.  The theme was "Celebrating Families".

"Kiwanis International provides a glimpse of one of the earliest of all families.  The ark is filled with families of giraffes, leopards, gazelles, zebras, eagles, and even a banner waving elephant created with grey moss along with seeds and herbs for detail.  The animals are accompanied by more than a dozen youngsters involved in Kiwanis programs.  The ark, decorated with redwood bark, and palm fiber, includes a house featuring straw flower shingles.  The surrounding water is actually iris with blue and white coco sticks.  Rounding out the scene is a floral garden on the ark's deck made up of red and pink roses, gerbera daisies and orchids."
