To: Kiwanis members
Action requested: If you are interested in volunteering for the concession stand at Arco Arena to support the Kiwanis Family House please email John Moren your interest.
I will be coordinating our clubs volunteer efforts to serve at Arco Arena. Coordination will be my email rather than taking sign-ups during the luncheon meetings. I will only contact members who are interested in volunteering. If you are interested, this does not mean you must volunteer for every game, you pick and choose the games you want to volunteer for. At this time I have three members interested: Sue Huscroft, Peggy Hale and myself. This is a very fun activity and supports KFH. Please think about volunteering.
If you have any questions please call John Moren at 756-7708 home or 792-5605 work,
2010-2011 Arco Update #9 - Sun 11/28/10
Last Saturday's Kings game was a winner for KFH: 34 volunteers earned the Kiwanis Family House $918. That's $2,444 for the first three games so far this season.
Special thanks must go to ALL of our great volunteers who came forward to keep our Arco project on track. We have another 13 games to do this season and the response will continue to be supportive. The Kings-Chicago game was as big an event for us as the Lakers usually are. Our stand manager told us that we grossed more than any other stand at Arco. Customers told us they left other stands due to the long lines to patronize our stand because we were faster. Of course! We're Kiwanians. We do the impossible. Everyone had a great time as well.
We need volunteers for our next game on Sat. 12/11.
We have 21 now and need a minimum of 30.
PLEASE NOTE: One purple shirt came up missing - it may have decided to be worn home by a volunteer. Shirts should know better. We didn't get charged $40 for it yet but may if it doesn't find it's way back. Please let Pete Arney know if the purple shirt has shown up at your place.
